We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our amazing team of volunteers is committed to helping dogs from the meat markets and slaughter homes overseas. It takes a village and you are part of our village. We cannot do it without the help and support from you. We are an all-volunteer rescue with 100% of the proceeds going torwards helping animals in need. 

We focus on making the maximum positive effect one paw at a time. Our adopters, volunteers and you provide the momentum we need. Rescue is not easy, if it was everyone wound do it. We rescue dogs in need from the most horrible conidtions. Will you help us? Will you open your home to the unknown and help save a life? We cannot do it without your continued support from adopters, donators, foster homes, volunteers and sponsorships.

Hello, I'm Cristy, President and Founder of Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and Sanctuary was founded by Cristy. After losing a rescue dog in 2015, I founded this organization to help dogs in need. With VP Ana Lopez, we rescue dogs from shelters, accept owner surrenders, and provide emergency medical care. All donations go directly to the vet bills.

The mission of the Jersey Shore Animal Center is to rescue, care for and re-home unwanted, abused, abandoned and sick animals. Our goal is to adopt these special animals to caring and loving forever homes they so richly deserve.  We also:

• Operate a Low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic and advocate for responsible spay/neuter practices & annual vet care
•  Help educate the community about pet ownership
•  Work to reunite lost pets with their owners
•  Instruct school children in the basic care and needs of pets
•  Support other animals welfare organizations and rescues
•  Work to ensure that animal abuse and cruelty are investigated

The Voorhees Animal Orphanage (“VAO”) is a 501-c-3, non-profit Municipal Animal

Shelter dedicated to providing shelter, food and medical care to stray and unwanted

animals until permanent homes can be found. We are an open-intake animal shelter

serving 26 municipalities in Southern New Jersey, 22 of which are in Camden County.

We do not receive any operational or financial support from the County. The only

income we receive are the monthly fees we receive from the municipalities that we

serve, and adoption fees. Otherwise, we rely very heavily upon the generosity of

charitable donations to help us meet our budget.

We are also an Adoption Center. That means when space allows, we are able to

rescue cats and dogs from over-crowded, high-kill shelters and rescues. 

We have saved over 40,000 lives since our inception in 1988.

We do not discriminate against any breed, nor do we turn an animal away due to

medical conditions or age. Each and every animal in our shelter receives individual

consideration and attention, regardless of the number of animals we may have in our

care.

We believe that every animal has the right home and family waiting for them. In 2024, our live

release rate was 92.8%!

We strive to be an exemplary shelter and adoption center through collaborative

partnerships, responsible business practices, and exceptional customer service. It is our

firm belief that working together, we can save more lives!
